Toro Soccer Club for Girls

Mario Zuniga was born in Santiago Chile. He moved to the United States in 1983. Mario holds a BS degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, with a Major in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics. Mario’s playing experience comes from playing ball in Chile both at the High-School level and the amateur ranks for Club Andino in Santiago Chile.

Here in the Nebraska, coach Zuniga has played Soccer for UNK(club sport) and in the men’s amateur league for Omaha Underground Soccer Club and Linoma Soccer club.  He has been coaching for Toro Soccer club for 10 years. Has held head coaching positions for Toro Fire 86/87 and Toro Magic 88/89. Under coach Zuniga, Toro Magic has been crowned Nebraksa State Champion three times(U14, U17 and U18). Magic will get together again to play in the U19 and represent Nebraska for a fourth time at Regionals.  As U14's, Magic finished in Third place in regional competition.13 out of 16 Magic players are currently playing College soccer.

Coach Zuniga's current coaching responsibilities are:

• Head coach for Toro Dynamos U10
• Head coach for Toro Magic U19
• Assistant coach for Toro Spirit(U14).

Coach Zuniga held the position of Director of Coaching for Toro Soccer club for 5 years and has  been a Toro Pro-Coach for that long. 

Coach Zuniga is also the Assistant coach for the Dana College Women’s soccer team.

Coach Zuniga holds a National USSF D-License.
