Toro Soccer Club for Girls

Toro Booyah hosted the inaugural “Booyah Battle of Champions” last spring. It featured teams from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois. FUN surrounded the entire event.

Firstly, the tournament was hosted at Creighton University’s Morrison Soccer Stadium. Morrison Stadium features over 2200 seat back chairs, Ajax Field Turf, and a European style canopy covering the seats. The girls had a fun time jamming out to their favorite tunes as they warmed up over the stereo system loudspeakers.

Secondly, the teams and their parents were invited to a Tournament Party hosted by Clancy’s Pub. Clancy’s was nice enough to donate Pizza and Pop for all of the teams and their families. On top of karaoke and dancing the girls had the opportunity to exchange pins while getting to know one another. Many friendships between players and parents were formed over the three day weekend.

Lastly, the competition was excellent. At the time of last year’s tournament each team was ranked within their region. Three of the teams were also ranked nationally. Although it is a friendly event, the competitor in each girl, from every team, seemed to shine.

This year’s tournament will feature 8 teams. With every team guaranteed 4 games. At least 3 of those games will be held at Creighton University’s Morrison Stadium. We appreciate you taking the time to look into our tournament. We hope to see you in April.
