Midwest Mother's Day Champions!!
Toro Galacticos attended the Midwest Mother's Day Soccer Tournament In Overland Park, Kansas over the weekend. It was a great weekend of U13 Premier soccer. The girls came out the weekend with a record of 3-1-0, and finished as champions of the tournament.
The girls started the tournament with a victory against WFC Fire 3-1. Galacticos faced KC Legends WCI 98/99 in their second game, and once again another victory 3-1. In their final bracket game Galacticos played BV Tsunami, both teams fought a great battle and played with great skill.
In the championship game Galacticos competed against BVSC STARS Aberdeen who defeated OFC Elite 1 98/99 the day earlier. The game was intense and physical, but Galacticos dominated the entire game. Galacticos missed many opportunities, but was able to get one in in the second half ending in a win 1-0.
Overall it was a great weekend and well deserved!

Youth Sports Region II U12 Girls May 2011 Issue
Despite competing at the U13 level for most of the season, the Toro SC Galacticos have still managed to place in every ranked event they have competed in, which has earned them 2,911 national points and 3,163 state points, making them 81st in the country, 3rd in the region and 1st in Nebraska. Last year, the girls finished as semi-finalists in the Just for Girls Fall Invite (G13 Orange), finalists in the Azzurri Cup (G13) and came in 1st in the Nebraska Soccer League (G13 Classic I). So far in 2011, the Galacticos, made up of Madison, Jillian, Sophia, Kayleigh, Kailey, Elizabeth, Sydney, Jayde, Bailey, Christina, Morgan, Kirsten and Jayden, have won the Border Battle (G12 France 11v11) and were most recently semi-finalists in the Just for Girls Invitational (G13 Purple). Currently the team is 2-0-1 in the Nebraska Soccer League’s (NSL) GU13 Premier Division with wins against the OFC 97/98 and 98/99 Elite. Their season finishes up this month with games against the Toro SC Siafu and Strike, OFC 97/98 Elite (2) and Columbus Shock and Blizzard Storm.
